Sunshine lowers stroke risk

Posted: Updated:

Here's a good reason to retire down south. It appears people who live in sunnier climates may have a lowered risk for stroke.

Researchers at the University of Alabama at Birmingham analyzed 5-year survey data on more than 16-thousand adults. The scientists asked participants about their health status every 6 months... Then compared the information with a NASA program that calculated participants' sunlight exposure.

The greater the sun exposure -- the lower the stroke risk.
